Welcome to CSIR-IICB : In the dawn of the new century, which may be the century of biology, CSIR - Indian Institute of Chemical Biology is poised to make an impact in understanding the chemistry of life, finally removing the veil of mystery around the life. The spin-offs are bound to have a major impact on the health scenario of the nation. Today, by its mandate, CSIR-IICB is engaged in research on diseases and certain biological problems of global interest.

CSIR-IICB is putting emphasis on quality basic research, on projects having applied potential and is looking forward to a successful Industry-Institute liaison towards closer partnership.
