PhD Course Work:
Learning and instructional support
The HR-Academic Affairs organizes PhD course work for pre-doc research students at IICB to educate and train them in modern biological Sciences, chemistry , chemical biology and some introductory interdisciplinary topics.
The existing IICB PhD course work programme constitues basic and advanced courses taught by in-house faculties as well as faculties from other Institutes/Universities.
The basic course is for bridging the gap between MSc and PhD. The advanced course comprises of frontline areas of research and covering research methodology and reviewed of current literature.
Trainings are also provided for development of effective communication and writing skill (scientific) and on bioethics and laboratory bio-safety. In addition, participation to Journal Club is compulsory for each of the Ph D student. Students are encouraged to participate in National/International conferences for presenting their research work.
